Fake Tim Hortons prize page asks you to share before you can continue

A page using Tim Hortons branding says the visitor has won a $200 gift card and asks them to share it with multiple groups or friends through Messenger or WhatsApp before continuing. Links shown for people who receive the shared page use unrelated domains, including assaitssapp[.]com and assaibonus[.]com. Do not share the page or enter information on it; verify promotions through the official Tim Hortons app or website opened independently.

What to do

  • Stop and close the page. Do not press Continue or share it with groups, friends, or family.
  • Open the official Tim Hortons app or type the official website address yourself to check whether a promotion exists.
  • Warn anyone you sent the link to so they do not open or share it further.
  • Report the message or page through the service where you received it, then delete it.
  • If you entered personal or payment information, contact your bank or card provider and change any reused password through the official service.
