CSRF Rebuilds Its Google Ad Grant Programme to Promote Free Scam Checks
July 30, 2026

In July 2026, CSRF rebuilt its Google Ad Grant campaigns to direct people to free scam-checking, email-checking, and scam-reporting resources.
Free safety tools, easier to find
In July 2026, the Cybersecurity Reach Foundation rebuilt its Google Ad Grant campaigns around the free tools people can use when something online feels wrong.
The campaigns direct people to:
- CSRF's scam checker for suspicious links, messages, and phone numbers;
- InboxSpotter for suspicious emails; and
- ScamArchive for searching and reporting scam patterns.
The Google Ad Grant provides free search advertising for eligible nonprofit organizations. It allows CSRF to put practical, plain-language help in front of people who are already looking for answers.
What the campaigns are for
An advertisement cannot determine whether a person avoided harm, and an ad click is not the same as a completed safety check. The purpose of the campaigns is narrower: make free help easier to find at the moment someone is trying to decide what to do next.
CSRF continues to monitor the campaigns for useful actions rather than treating impressions or clicks as people helped.
Use CSRF's free scam checker when you receive a suspicious message or link.
