Two Recent LinkNYC Campaigns Delivered More Than Two Million Impressions

Two recent CSRF scam-awareness campaigns on LinkNYC delivered 167,501 plays and 2,106,101 impressions at no media cost.

Scam warnings where people already are

Two recent Cybersecurity Reach Foundation awareness campaigns on LinkNYC screens delivered 167,501 plays and 2,106,101 impressions at no media cost to CSRF.

The campaigns covered two common pressure tactics:

  • package-delivery messages that ask people to resolve a problem or pay a fee; and
  • job offers that use the promise of work to request money or personal information.

These numbers measure media delivery. They are not unique people, clicks, tool uses, reports, or verified cases of harm prevented.

Why public screens matter

A person does not need to follow CSRF, download an app, or search for a warning to encounter a short safety message on a public screen. The campaigns put a simple recognition prompt into everyday journeys and point people toward safer decisions.

The warnings are part of CSRF's wider public-awareness work, which includes free checking tools, plain-language guidance, and shareable alerts.

Keep the next step simple

If a message says a package is delayed or offers a job but asks you to pay, do not use the link or reply with personal information. Open the official service or find the employer's known website independently.
